Awards for Excellence in Service
The Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology Awards for Excellence in Service are given to members who have demonstrated excellence in furthering the causes of the Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology—by encouraging and advancing the collection, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge derived from the practice of archaeology on historic sites.

Student Paper Competition
The purpose of the Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology (CNEHA) student paper competition is to encourage student participation at the annual CNEHA conference. Competition entrants will be judged on their ability to present a cogent, coherent summary of data and to make a logical argument within a 20 minute time frame.
